# Barcelona airport to city: Aerobus, metro, taxi or Uber compared

El Prat has four ways into central Barcelona. One is obviously best 80% of the time. Here's the honest ranking.

## 1. Aerobus (winner for most)

**€5.90 one-way, €10.20 return**, every 5–10 minutes, 35 minutes to Plaça Catalunya. Runs 05:00–01:00. Big luggage hold, wifi, drops you at three central stops. Boards from directly outside T1 and T2 arrivals.

## 2. Metro L9 Sud

€5.15 with the airport supplement (regular T-Casual tickets don't work). Takes 32 minutes to Zona Universitària, then you change to another metro line. Total with transfer: 50+ minutes. Only wins if your hotel is in the western suburbs.

## 3. RENFE R2 Nord train

€4.60 to Passeig de Gràcia, 25 minutes. But it only serves T2 (a shuttle from T1 adds 10 minutes). Trains every 30 minutes. Good if you land at T2 and it lines up with your arrival.

## 4. Taxi

Official black-and-yellow taxi from the marked rank. **€30–40 flat-ish** including the €4.50 airport supplement. Cash or card. Takes 20–35 minutes depending on traffic. Worth it for groups of 3+ or heavy luggage.

## 5. Uber / Bolt / Free Now

All three operate. Free Now (regulated taxis via app) is essentially the same as flagging a cab. Uber and Bolt cars are VTCs; slightly cheaper than taxi off-peak (€22–35), but pickup point is not the standard rank — check the app.

## Scam to know
