## The Al Boraq / ONCF train is the smart move

Mohammed V International (CMN) has a direct rail link — the ONCF train from the airport station (under Terminal 1) to Casa Voyageurs and Casa Port. It's **43 minutes** to Casa Port for **43 MAD (~$4)**, runs roughly every hour from ~5am to midnight, and drops you in the middle of the city.

For most travelers, this is faster and cheaper than a taxi in traffic.

## When the taxi wins

- Late-night arrival (last train ~midnight)
- Heavy luggage or small kids
- Staying in Anfa / Ain Diab (nowhere near the train stations)

## Taxi fare reality check

Grand taxis (big white Mercedes) from CMN to central Casablanca run **300–400 MAD by day, 400–500 MAD at night**. Anything higher = you're being taken. The 'meter is broken' line is universal — negotiate the flat fare in dirhams before you get in, or walk away.

## Careem in Casablanca

Careem operates in Casa but not officially at the airport (turf war with the taxi cartel). Some drivers will accept an airport pickup off the app — meet in the parking garage, not the terminal curb. Uber doesn't operate in Morocco.
