# Leaving Edinburgh Airport (EDI): tram, Airlink 100, or Uber

> EDI is 13 km from Princes Street. The tram is scenic, the Airlink 100 is faster, and Uber has an airport surcharge worth knowing about.

Edinburgh Airport (EDI) sits west of the city. Three options do the job, and picking the right one saves you 20 minutes and a few pounds.

## Airlink 100 bus

£5.50 single (£8 return) to Waverley Bridge in 30 minutes, every 10 minutes 24/7. Runs by Lothian Buses — clean, reliable, and the fastest option for the centre.

## Edinburgh Trams

£7.50 single to Princes Street / St Andrew Square in 35 minutes, every 7–10 min. Slightly slower and pricier than Airlink 100 but stops right outside many hotels along Shandwick Place. Contactless pay at the platform gate.

## Skylink 200 / 300

£5.50 buses to Ocean Terminal (Leith) or the south side (Cameron Toll) — useful for hotels off the tourist strip.

## Uber / Bolt

£20–35 to the centre in 20–30 min. Pickup zone at the multi-storey car park. £1–2 airport pickup fee baked in.

## Taxi

£25–35 metered from the rank outside arrivals. Standard black cabs.
