## The rules for Germany

**Ride apps:** FreeNow is the main taxi app; Uber and Bolt operate in the big cities.

**Cash vs card:** Cash still matters — many bakeries, kiosks and even some taxis are cash-only.

**Golden rule:** never take an unmarked car from someone approaching you inside the terminal. Walk to the official taxi rank or open your ride app.
