# Morocco airport taxi scams: Fez, Casablanca and Agadir arrivals guide

Morocco's airports share the same taxi ecosystem — and the same tricks. Meters "don't work at the airport," a "night surcharge" appears at 3pm, and there's always a per-bag fee that isn't real. Here's how to leave [Casablanca (CMN)](/airports/cas-casablanca), [Fez (FEZ)](/airports/fez-fez), and [Agadir (AGA)](/airports/aga-agadir) cleanly.

## Casablanca Mohammed V (CMN)

The best option is the train — it leaves from directly under Terminal 1, runs every hour, and costs MAD 43 to Casa Voyageurs (about 35 min). Taxis (grands taxis, usually white) sit outside; the fixed fare to the city centre is MAD 250 day, MAD 300 night. Do not accept meter offers here — the meter is almost always accelerated.

## Fez (FEZ)

## Agadir Al Massira (AGA)

The airport is 25 km from the beach hotels. Grand taxi fixed fare to Agadir centre is MAD 250 day, MAD 350 night. Bus 22 runs to Inezgane where you connect to city buses — cheap but genuinely a pain with luggage.

## The three scripts to know

- **"The meter is broken."** It always is. Agree the fixed fare in writing on your phone.

- **"Per-bag surcharge."** There isn't one. Confirm total before loading.

- **"Your riad moved."** It didn't. Refuse redirection.
