## The one number that matters: 2.5 hours before your flight

Nassau cruise port (Prince George Wharf) to Lynden Pindling (NAS) is a **25–45 minute** taxi ride depending on traffic. But 'depending on traffic' is doing a lot of work here.

- Cruise embarkation days (Sat/Sun): can hit 60+ min
- Rain: adds 15–20 min anywhere on New Providence
- Any road work on JFK Drive / Blake Road: chaos

Budget **2.5 hours before departure**. That's 45 min transit buffer + 90 min for check-in / bag drop / security.

## Fixed taxi fare

Cruise port → NAS is the **$32 flat fare zone** for two passengers. Add $3 per extra passenger, $1 per extra bag over 2. Confirm the fare with the dispatcher before you get in — they hand out a card at the port taxi stand.

## Alternatives to the taxi

- **Resort shuttle** — if you're day-passing at Atlantis, their shuttle costs $12 pp to the resort, then a $38 fixed-rate taxi from Atlantis to NAS. Not cheaper, sometimes more comfortable.
- **Pre-booked private transfer** — $60–90 for a private van via Viator / GetYourGuide. Worth it for groups of 4+ with luggage.
- **Rental car return** — if you rented at the airport for the day, drop it back before your flight. Skip if you cruised in.

## What NOT to do

- **Don't 'wing it' from Bay Street** — flagging a taxi on the street after 3pm on a cruise-turn day can take 20 minutes.
- **Don't book Uber** — doesn't exist in Nassau.
- **Don't skip the taxi dispatcher line** — the fixed fare only applies if you go through the official stand.

## If you're doing the reverse (airport → cruise)

Same fare, same route, less time pressure. Give yourself 60 min from wheels-down to standing at the pier.
