You cannot go wrong at Changi. Every option is efficient, honest, and clearly signed. It's just a question of price vs comfort.

## MRT (East-West Line)

**S$2.50 or so** to City Hall / Raffles Place using SimplyGo (contactless bank card at the gate). 40 min including the mandatory change at Tanah Merah. Runs 05:30 to midnight.

## Airport shuttle

S$10 flat. Shared van to any city hotel. Book at the ground transport desk. Slow if you're not the first drop-off.

## Taxi (metered, from the official rank)

Cyan-blue ComfortDelGro or similar. **S$25–35 to city hotels**, more late at night (there's a 50% night surcharge 00:00–06:00 and an airport surcharge of S$3–8). Card accepted. Journey 20 min.

## Grab / Gojek / Ryde / Zig

All operate at Changi. Pickup at the dedicated rideshare pickup point (well signed). Prices similar to metered taxi off-peak; more during rain and surge. Grab is the default.

## When each option wins

- **Under 1am, hand luggage, going to a central hotel:** MRT.

- **Group of 4 with luggage:** Taxi from the rank.

- **Late night solo:** Grab — pricing is transparent, the driver is tracked.

## Scams

Effectively zero. Changi is one of the safest airports in the world. See our full [Singapore Changi exit guide](/airports/sin-singapore).
